Iron Front: Liberation 44 (PC Game)

"Liberation" was a successful mod for Operation Flashpoint about episodes of initial period of Great Patriotic War (WW2 Eastern Front). Later developers continued their work on A2 engine and now they and publisher Deep Silver announced "Liberation 44" as stand-alone commercial project using ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead engine.

Liberation 44 is based on historical documents about battles in South-Western Poland, in both Soviet and Wermacht campaigns players would be able to experience authentic and immersive combined arms gameplay.

Among many vehiclees of that period you would find famous tanks "King Tiger" & IS-2, iconic planes like Fw 190, Ju-87, Pe-2 and others.

This seems VERY promising. Would be nice with some action in Russia too. Stalingrad springs to mind.

I really like when a mod team gets the ability to make their special game!

It's a separate game based on the arrowhead engine. No need to buy arrowhead for that.
