Default [List] what makes a Tactical Gamer?

i fell this is best asked in this section rather then general discussion, but some Mod will probably disagree.

but what makes Tactical Gamer the best server out there? i like to think that 80% of the PR community is made up of rational, sane human beings.

clearly im wrong.

you would think that once the players who want a good teamwork oriented experience are kicked from TGamer for a supporting member, they would gravitate to another good server, but no. they scatter across all the other servers, and are forced to deal with the other 20% of the community who "liks da hel1ch00ptrs bcus dey blow s&#t up".

so what makes TGamer work when all the other servers dont? better yet, how can we make other servers more like TG?

I think maybe the admins?

Or perhaps because most players are "serious" players ie. supporting members ie. that's why people get kicked?

But dude... you have PRTA, you have NwA, you have UKWF, you have all other servers. It all comes down to luck (which players are playing and what mood are they in?)

TBH, one of the main reasons I don't play on TG a lot (hence favoring PRTA and NwA specially) is because of the supporting member kick thing. Once I was playing on TG (awesome round on Operation Archer). It was a very cool round. However both Chinooks got shot down by a techie on the way to extract us. Result? We have to walk some 700m.

During that long walk, I think 2 of my squad members got kicked. The new guys that came in were awesome players as well, but you see, once you are having a ball of a round and get kicked for a supporting members, that's just annoying. Also, my internet sometimes chokes (ie. disconnects for 10 seconds), so I must reconnect... I normally am able to join the other servers. TG is always full... + the risk of getting kicked for a supporting member.

That's why I heard some people recconnect on map change - reset their timer.

In conclusion, I think TG attracts many serious players, while others might attract more casual players. Sometimes you get good casual players, other times you get smacktards.

Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple!

As much respect as I have for the TG clan & their servers, if all servers were the same, wouldn't it get stale?
Expand on what you mean by "more like TG".

TG has no smacktards.

playing in a server earlier, 4 people per team. 5th guy come in and immediatly grabs the apache. not 5 minutes later, he gets shot down. server gets going, for arguements sake we'll call it 8v8. 5th guy has now found a gunner, and the other 2 have taken the HAT and sniper kits and are trying to camp the enemy main WHEN THE TANK IS ALREAY ON THE ATTACKING FLAG!!!(im sorry, but im still pissed off.) we lose all the flags because only 4 guys are fighting on the ground against the enemy 8.

this shit doesnt happen in TG. im not talking about playing the game seriously, im talking about playing the game smart.

TG is not a clan, it's a community of teamplayers.

TG has a rule(or motto, whatever):

"Play the game as it was meant to be played."

As many already said the supporting member thing (I'll do it one day, but not yet ) and the stupid rule, that only the commander can designate squads, which is very very very annoying. Otherwise PRTA/TG/NwA = best servers in PR.

TG's not the best server for one simple reason:

"You have been kicked for a supporting member".

Why would I go through that when I can have just as god a time on PRTA, when to get in all I have to do is tell Wicca or Web Cole or an Admin if someone's not on mumble?

TG's too strict, like the "No gloating" Rule, seriously, it's just a game. If I see a Attack Huey pilot attempt to do a low level strafing run & crash into the lowest building around on Muttrah, I want to be able to go "Fail Huey, haha" over All chat & not get kicked.

With PRTA as long as you don't start getting on people's nerves (usually the response I get from the Huey pilot on PRTA would be ":P") you can use all chat.

TGs Good yeah, but I don't want to have to pay money just to play in a server.

why is that necessary? i guess it makes you feel better about yourself, but i'm sure the huey knows he failed. it quickly gets hostile when people have that immature urge to talk sh1t all the time and that looks really bad for the server image.
