Tele-Marketers that Prank Call you?

So an hour ago, my dad recieved a threatning call.

Quote:

"Hello?"
"Hello Quan."
"I am a serial killer living in America. I will kill you"
"OK?"
"You can run but you can't hide"
*Caller hangs up*

So then my dad calls the police and everything. The officer takes the phone number and we find out that it is a tele-marketer in Northwestern Michigan.

And since my dad has been getting lots of marketing calls the past few weeks. The officer says its probobly some guy he pissed off and is calling back to prank him.

So, I go off lulzing and my dad takes a smoke.

Anything like this happen to you guys?

Well, finish the story. Did you press charges? You don't just threaten to kill somebody and hang up.

See how he likes getting harassed by unwanted phone calls.... from the police

Though I have to admit, it'd be kinda nice to speak to a telemarketer from your own country, we don't get that luxury here

If you consider the police calling his workplace and having him fired a charge. Then yes.
But, if you don't, we are nice people. We just laughed it off, besides, Court is such a hassle.

I'd pin that guy to a wall.

Had something similar years ago, where some guy kept calling and screaming into the phone.

I got rick rolled through a phone conversation once...

*I pick up phone*

*Music starts*

*I hang up*

Anyway what the heck would make a telemarketer do that. When they call I just pretend I cant speak english. I usually just make humming noises, or shout random phrases in spanish. "Te gusta que afeitar un carro."

Telemarketers are scum. I can't believe it's not illegal to call people at home trying to sell them stuff.

Whenever telemarketers call me, I like to make the most of the situation. I try to ask them how they're doing, where they are, what their jobs like, whether they've considered their jobs make people become suicidal, whether their lives suck. Get a nice conversation going, ya know?

I just hang up whenever I hear that artificial voice or soothing music.

Telemarketers gave up here after everyone started using cell phones as far as I know, haven't heard of a 'you just won XYZ!!!11' call for years.
