Default Fallen Earth

Here is a little jem that I've been looking at for quite some time. It really has started to shape up in the last months.... tho there is still relatively little info about. coming September 9 aswell.

This game seems to be Star Wars Galaxies, 'bigger and better'. I used to be a SWG guy so I'm definitely excited. Reminds me of what a fallout mmo would look like.

Hopefully the game does not go underrated/underappreciated at release.

Man, you and your negative attitude towards gaming.

should I just sell you innovation by the pound so you can appreciate a source mod for once?

I just don't like having to pay monthly to play a game, there is allot of people like that. 15 dollars every month no matter how much you play it, don't worry once PR starts going for a monthly fee I won't like it either , I am sure the game will be fine and lots of people will enjoy it.

Nice, a post apocalyptic MMO. Hopefully they have a demo or open beta to try out.

The thing is though, if I do plan to get it, I'd wait a bit after it's released. Combat doesn't look too good though.

I was in the closed beta, (not supposed to tell anyone that but whatever) and it was pretty cool, but a bit too hardcore for me.
I managed to get a motorcycle but man did it drain gas, and that shit ain't cheap. Horses seem to be the way to go, at least until you can get an electric motorcycle.

If you have any specific questions I could try to answer them.

How was the combat system? It seems pretty lame. Also, are there dungeons and that sort of stuff, or is it more of farm for items to survive?

The combat system is like an FPS, you draw your weapon, aim and fire, although since it's an mmo, and they have to take massive lag into account, there are no ballistics. So as long as you're holding over the enemy when you click, you hit even if they move out of your sights.
You need to make or buy ammo and such aswell. But you can go for melee if you feel like it.

There are dungeons, I didn't find alot of them, and some places are instanced, although seemlessly so.
You stand outside a warehouse with a buddy, open the door and walk in, when you turn around you can't see him anymore, becuse the game just made a new instance for you.
That part of it is really well done. No loading screens or anything to ruin the immersion.
