..towards more realistic forms now that they take so long to throw, it's not like it'll ever be as spammy as it once was anyways and the current blast radius (of what, 5m?) feels kinda dumb and useless.

Actually i meant a 5m killzone, 2,5 radius. 10m would be more like it. Slip of my tounge.
It doesnt seem ok to me when you cant clear a small room with a fragmentation grenade. And if one lands on your feet, you can simply walk away. Seriously. |

Tossing one into the towers at the PLA main on Barricuda produces 0 casualties when it goes off in the middle.

I think the way it is now seems okay, much better then other games anyway. I actually did some tests on myself and standing up i can be a good 10 feet or so and get killed. Being prone though makes a big difference and you will take less damage if any.

I agree, should be increased again. Should be lethal when close to it, but shouldnt be directly lethal at some range, but cause heavy bleed (black-white vision).

Just seems dumb that a nade can go off next to you face and you get grazed, but you jump off a 7ft wall or slide down a little hill and you die...

true, youd expect with the greater size of the nade explosions they would actually be deadly but you might as well throw firecrackers at the enemy.
i still hate the whole ten seconds between each nade throw, like it or not, grenades are used excessively in warfare but unfortunately people seem to be selective when it comes to 'realism' and have whinged enough to influence even the devs. |

Grenades are lobbed often with a few people throwing them at once, and taking cover. You will not see a single soldier throwing out tons of grenades in seconds, just because they can. Should kill within 5-10m radius, and the wound-radius should be 10-15m. I'm not sure on the actual statistics of shrapnel ala pineapple salad and how far the shredded metal travels after detonation, but I figure it's about those numbers. | |
