Default bad ballance on insurgency maps

First off I love this mod and I love this release in particular.

But too the point something has to be done about the utter lack of Insurgents ability to deal with enemy air power, and enemy armor.

On Remael for example we get 3 RPGs that spawn once every 20 min, and we have over 10 caches to defend.

That and the RPGs spawn no where near the objectives, and they have such a long spawn time that you have little time if the enemy comes at your infantry with little bird gun runs that your all dead before you even get a shot off.

But the real shame here is that the RPG is so weak agenst Strykers, and armored vehicles of most types other then the jeeps/WMMWVs.

The Stryker in particular is not repasented correctly. It's armor is only made to withstand mortor rounds and IEDs. Thats it. Yet it can be blowen up by IEDs, and mortors can't even kill it after 3 hits land around it?

Another flaw is that the British get 4 heavy recon vehicles, and a tank, while the Insurgents get nothing, and almost no cars on Al Basrah.

The truth is that in real life US Servicemen reported many times that after clearing a location the Insurgents would jump in tanks, and vehicles that were left over and use them to their advantage.

Also they have mortors, and RPGs in great numbers, in some battles, namely two in particular the US Army was attacked by not 2-3 mortors, but 12 mortors, and at least 50 RPGs were used agenst them.

These weapons are the main stay of Insurgents because they are cheap, easy to use, and easy to fix if busted.

ask everyone in your squad to spawn as ambusher and plant ieds. can be pretty amusing + what rhino said.
also, how good aren't the molotovs?

Did US soldiers leave the vehicles empty and unattended while in "enemy" territory?

That is is make it feel as close to war as possible, it is made for the INS forces to use INS tactics. Were all sorry if the T-55's and BMP's were removed in 0.5 from Basra and sorry we all cant pwn British hand American units with overwleming RPG fire.The INS dont use tanks.

IMHO insurgecy still needs more "fun factor" to be pleasent to play day to day basis.
And that is where the unbalance lies.
Some things that could make insurgens more fun to play (atleast for me):
Suiside attackers without "weapons" that can't join squads,
antipersonnel mines,
tripwires that when crossed would give you big blur effect.
Maybe make a "doctor" special kit for insurgensy (something like the aa kit, so it's just one)
Maybe even a spy special kit that would look like a US marine when up close, but when sawn from the distance the kit would not be rendered as that's the thing in bf2 engine. Edgar suit with only a knife.

What? It takes two hits anywhere on the Stryker to take it out, one disables it most of the time. Also the RPG leaves no smoke trail anymore IIRC so you have no idea where it came from.

You complain about Stryker 'needing a lot of RPGs to take it out' yet you don't want IEDs to take it out? orly.

Insurgents get like 6 jihad cars, 5 technicals and a huge bomb truck at the Palace and enough RPGs. I do agree that the tank unbalances the map if used by a skilled crew however.

Yes, because Insurgents are highly trained ninjas that can hijack any equipment and use it even if they know jack schitt about it.
