Default Health bar? (Not what you think)

I totally agree with the removal of the health bar, but i think that you should replace it with something different. Coz in real life i know how badly hurt i am. I guess that i can feel the difference between having been shot 2-3 times and breaking a finger. But in pr i have no idea if i lost 50 or 80 hp. My suggestion is to add a little different health bar. I want a little bar that would change colors as you take damage.

100-74% HP - Green
75-50 - Yellow
49-25 - Red
Below 24 - Flashing red?

And i really dont want to see the nasty word "Hardcoded".

Reminds me of the "heartbeat enunciator" in Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six Rogue Spear.

Healthy: "Indicated by a green colored slot and a funcitioning heartbeat. The heartbeat changes according to the level of exertion of the operative."

Wounded: "Indicated by a yellow slot and a functioning heartbeat."

Incapacitated: "Indicated by an orange slot and a barely functioning heartbeat."

Dead: "Indicated by a red slot and a flatlined heartbeat."

This was from the Rainbow Six Rogue Spear manual.

If you hear your guy constantly grunting, you know your hurt and bleeding
if you start coughing blood, you know your hurt bad
if you start going LSD, you know death is imminent.

dont think anything else is really necesary IMO...

the less HUD the better! this is much more interactive and immersive than yet another thing on your HUD

Agreed.
People need to use their ears more than their eyes. i.e. listening for gunfire, listening for footsteps/chatter etc...

Hm.. I can never tell the difference between the time when i start bleeding or just before the dizzy vision thing occurs.

And that bar im talking about wont take half the screen

Been suggested before.

Sort of Dynamic Health Meter, such as a Soldier Outline which goes from green to red.

As it is, if you take damage for some reason and you don't start bleeding you have no idea whether you took 1% damage or 40% damage... you should be able to tell the difference between these amounts of damage. I still don't know how much damage you take from brushing up against razor wire.

We need something (audio or visual) to indicate when we are slightly wounded (<80% or so hp) but not bleeding.

If you don't cough, you're OK, If youstart coughing seeek medical attention, If you have wavy vision you're as good as dead.

I don't know, I mean on one hand there is the fact that people should be listing, but on the other the goal of the PR is the R, Reality. Now I have never been shot but I think I would know if I was....

if you get hurt: go to a medic... dont need to know how hurt you are, just need to know you will need a medic.

if your bleeding, then you need to URGENTLY go to a medic hehe
