How they vote in the United Nations:
Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records: Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time. Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time. Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time. Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time. Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time. Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time. Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time. Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time. Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time. Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time. Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time. India votes against the United States 81% of the time. Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time. Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time. U S Foreign Aid to those that hate us: Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States , still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid. Jordan votes 71% against the United States And receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid. Pakistan votes 75% against the United States Receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid. India vo tes 81% against the United States Receives $143,699,000 annually. Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes Disgusting isn't it? **It was a bulletin on myspace** |

I don’t think that all the US foreign aid is being paid to these countries simply because we are in the UN, I think it is because they are important countries to US foreign policies. For one thin Pakistan is an important ally in the war on terror. Egypt, Jordan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia are about the friendliest middle eastern countries to America (not counting Israel).
Edit:I'd like to see a list of the countries who vote with the US the most in the UN. |

Not sure how much hate an abstract thing like a nation can have. All nations have interests. The US interset may not be what others want to see. Things like toppleing a nation to gain access to it's oil and destabilizing it so that a civil war will most likely break out. However the US money helps the interests of those nations and to be sure the US gets alot for the cash we hand over. As the US will do what it wants, UN be dammed, the votes of those nations is not what the US gives a flying F*ck about.
Egypt and Saudia Arabia are fine examples of this. They can say whatever makes them happy or more important for them what thier people want them to say. The people of those nations did not want to see us in Iraq and were less pissed off about Afgan when we first went in but as time went on and we were making a half ass attempt at finding Osama and were shifting our guns toward Iraq they were like WTF! Now the US likes the nations of Egypt and Saudia Arabia as long as the current dictators can keep a lid on things. And to help that along we toss some cash thier way which the average Joe in those nations may or may not know about and if they do there is not much they can do about it. Stepping out of the UN would be just silly as we get a cool veto power as one of the Big Boys on the Block there and we don't give a shit about what anyone else says any how. And we would STILL be giving that money to the nations for the reasons I just listed. If we developed fussion energy that got to the sweet spot of creating more energy than what we put in so that oil was no longer the huge thing it is, for example, your head would spin on how fast we'd drop Saudi Arabia, and lots of those nations we give money to. If all you had to use oil for was medicine we would have more than enough with the supplies we have. Then the name of the game is watch China as that would be one of our last boogy men left to "fight". |

You do realize that "foreign aid" is a racket run for the benefit of big defense contractors, don't you? Corporate socialism. The people of those countries never see a dime of all the foreign aid money that is sent to their governments. It all goes to foreign governments on paper, then the US sells them obsolete weapons systems and bills them and then sends the money almost directly to Chrysler, or Lockheed or Blackwater. It's a scam.
My favorite foreign aid incident was one I found on a back page of the Globe and Mail (Canada's NY Times). Our Prime MInister gave poor starving India $600 million dollars...just like that without asking anyone, even parliament. On the same page at the bottom there was this big photo of a former Russian, now Ukrainian guided missile cruiser that the Ukraine just sold to India that very day. The price? Why, $600 million that's what... Makes me feel good to see my tax dollars going to feed those poor starving Indians... |

So US Foreign Aid is another word for buying political support for US foreign policy? ...your idea of democracy and international relationships makes me sick!

makhno ....everthing makes you sick and you have no foriegn policy so .....
FI .... sorry, but what you say about defense contractors is very true. WWF... the World Wildlife Fund ....is a slush fund for European defense kickbacks ,,,read about that in the 70's. I think this is the book i read in 8th grade .http://www.namebase.org/sources/DE.html The isreali's vote with us like 98% of the time in the UN. We need to keep the money flowing to those nations, however the funds are misspent. It does buy us some temporary loyalty and that has keep the egyptians from starting a war for a few minutes now. I would like to see a one year moratorium on payments to nations that do not support the US in the war on terror. Just a friendly warning, worth a few billion back home, one time tax cut and the American people will then get an idea that while the world hates us, we are the bank and as such deserve a modicum of respect. But the Red Sox have a better chance at winning the series than that ever happening. |
