Airsoft costs less than PB and hurts less too.

The initial buy is a lot but it's a much better investment.

PB dosnt leave a welt on unexposed skin however. they make a better sound too.
Airsoft is much more popular in Europe than it is in North America, to each his own.

I have never gotten a single welt while airsofting, when you play buy the rules there are no welts to be ha, period.

Every single time I have gone Paintballing I have come home with a welt. From varying distances, once from about 40 feet it made my arm bleed and it was purple for a few hours in a large 3 in diameter area.

How fast do the guns at your fields shoot? I usually play at no limit games (paintball mask mandatory) so they can make you bleed a bit, especially if hit somewhere unprotected like the neck

It's illegal to play airsoft or import airsoft in Australia but I do run an advanced Laser Combat program called Military Sims. We get better range and good accuracy when compared to airsoft but there are strict laws about the weaponry we can use which is why we can't show much on the website, around public and not allow under 18s to play. We run for 6 hours or 24 hours sessions and most of the guys are current or ex service so the quality of play is awesome.

We play under TASO regulations,

No limit to range on pistols shooting under 300 FPS

20 foot limit on anything over 300 FPS

100 foot limit on anything over 500 FPS

I just upgraded my gun to shoot 450 FPS but I have a side arm for close encounters.
