Hardcore Teamwork Nights!

Tired of modern-age spammy PR gameplay? Tired of the endless waves of enemies from all directions? Tired of metagame flag capping? Tired of Wicca? Tired because you don't get enough sleep? Look no further, we have a PRTArtial solution!

Re-re-re-rerun of the PRTA HTN, this time bringing nothing new at all, like before. Reminiscent of the good old days of PR, the pace is slower and the action further apart, putting continuous action on the backseat and bringing forth a strategic and tactical gameplay. A perfect way to play a vast array of maps for the whole evening with the emotional rollercoaster PR can be and not being confined to just one round per event.



Rules

The gameplay is a stricter type of vanilla PR. Respawntimes increased and death penalty higher, ammount of FOBs reduced to 2, crates worth half the default value, RPs disabled and capping times extended are some of the main tweaks done to the event. It also features the damage model and revised stamina from One-Life events This will slow the gameplay down in hopes of bridging the gap between vanilla PR and One-Life events.

Although the event does not feature sign-ups of any kind, chain of command is to be respected at all times. If there is a CO present, squad leaders must act out his orders unless specified otherwise - Same goes for squad members. Any insubordination is a kickable offense.

There are no other rules (except standard PRTA Server Rules), so the outcome is completely in the hands of the team.

"crates worth half the default value" Is this as ammo or deployables requirements or both?

Oh can you make it so that if... when the server crashes during loading, it restarts with that map it was about to load instead of a standard seed map.
The map-load-crash itself is hardly a problem. It is just loading a map a second time. It takes no time. It is the start up map, you have to go through each time, which I think is the killer.

I believe it only changes the FOB requirement - we have been using 1/3 and 1/6 values in onelifes and the crates were not blowing up after 4 mags were taken out,

Changes that affect gameplay, besides longer flag cap.
  • Critically wounded timer is 10min
  • Respawn time is 150s
  • Suicide is additional 60s
  • TK is additional 30s
  • Every death is additional 20s
  • You get no rewards for reducing spawntime
  • Maximum respawn time is 5min
  • You have to wait 4 minutes after revive to be revivable
  • There is no kill score to avoid exploits from headshots instakills
  • 1 Sniper per team, 1 HAT per team, 1 Medic per squad
  • No kit pickups at vehicles or crates
  • No rally points
  • 2 FOBs per team, requiring 2 crates for base and 2 more for assets, spawnable
  • FOBs need 6 minutes to be spawnable after building, 1 minute after being overrun
  • Jump height is 10% higher in order to easily clear obstacles that could be vaulted over and preserve stamina
  • More stamina but much slower to regenerate
  • Alternative bullet damage model, same as One-Life events, headshots and near explosions are fatal

To bad it only reached half a full server for one single map. Maybe people are just not interested in events. A shame. Maybe next time you should consider killing your main server, which was full, during the event to populate the event server. It may seem like a dick move to some people. I don't know.

It was more of a public beta test so I am not too dissapointed, thank you for coming!

Stamina and damage is cool, flag capping will be faster just a bit, tickets for death will be on 200% (so 4 on total), spawntimer will be revised and spawn reductions re-implemented. I will also fix kits spawning on dead soldiers. Thats about it.

Next time we will shut down MC or something indeed, and there weill be better, more fluent play, it wasnt all for nothing - Also the games were not half bad really, considering it was korengal.
