Why can't you just have it like where you have to download off the site links like for 0.8

You can.

But for me, for example, it takes hours through a regular download site.

I torrented v0.8 in 20 minutes.

Torrents are a peer to peer distribution system. Traditional downloads from servers can put a lot of stress on the servers, and use a lot of bandwidth, which costs money for hosts.

Torrents on the other hand are transferred between individuals, taking the server out of the equation, relieving the stress, and not consuming precious bandwidth.

Due to the size of recent PR releases, terabytes worth of data are being transferred to download the files, and so the less of this done by our server the better.

Basic rule of thumb for the internet, only download files from reputable sources if you want to avoid viruses.

Well, another general rule of thumb for the internet is don't talk to Irishmen, but if you have to, don't click anything they send you.

Sick bastard.

It's true that any file can have viruses but I'm pointing out what files are most likely to contain them such as keygens.

It'd be great if 0.85 was hosted on a server somewhere as torrents are slow, slow, slow when you've got Comcast as your ISP (that and I don't like torrents in general). Why isn't it available from File Planet or whatnot yet?
