I recently installed PR because I thought my PC could run it after a RAM upgrade, it worked fine, but because of Uni, I decided to uninstall it, after that, some weeks later, I reinstalled it, however no in-game sounds display, this doesn't seen to be a problem with the installer, since I reinstalled the game and it still didn't worked, I didn't tried to re-download the game yet.
Trying to change volume has no effect (the game is actually on the default settings) same with chaning volume quality, like the sounds files are missing. Code:

PR (more precise BF2) does not allow choosing audio devices. It always uses the windows default device. Make sure you have the windows default set to the correct output.
What you currently have looks a bit weird Code:

Thank you for the response, I an trying to figure out how to make it the default, since I only have one audio device, which supposedly is the default one.

After short googling, it seems the Microsoft Sound Mapper is some virtual default audio driver. See if you can install real driver for your sound card to see if that solves this issue.
This article has some steps to troubleshoot issues: https://www.minitool.com/news/micros...nd-mapper.html |

I tried to do those things, but unfortunalley it didn't worked, however after doing it, it started to see my Earbuds and my Laptop integrated sound as different things, I thought that would solve the problem, changing the Default from one to another but it doesn't seens to be the case

Update, decided to test in game proper, because the support could be wrong, or outdated, it worked!
Thank you for the support, I was thinking on reinstalling the driver but was worried that was not the route of the cause (maybe its not but it allowed me to solve by having the speakers and the earbuds separated) |
