EAX sounddevice? How to find out?
I never noticed performance drop before between updates aside from map changes.

I have noticed half the maps I play I experience my normal FPS of 25 - 40 (Gaza, operation thunder, karbala) while other maps (Jadal al burj, muttrah city, fallujah west,) can only give me 10 - 20 frames max since 1.5.

Also since 1.5 here is my cpu spiking with FPS drops every 8 OR 16 seconds. Happens every single map regardless of settings. https://imgur.com/a/jvlq4

Ok after countless tweaking and testing I believe the culprit for the lower fps is something to do with the amount of players in view distance. Today I was playing Gaza (100 players) and I could tell you which direction the enemy team was defending a cache by pointing at a bearing and watching my fps drop. My only current solution is minimizing view distance to 50% and it raises my fps from 10-15 to 20-25. When I play on this server with 15-20 people my fps is 30-40 as it used to be in 1.4 no matter what amount of view distance or players. Also believe my CPU spikes are fixed from switching sound provider from "software" to "hardware". Either that or freeing up hard drive space fixed it.

Dude, same here. The others don't notice anything because their CPU is good enough to keep their frame rate very high in such situations (above their monitors refresh rate).

I always had shitty FPS on many maps with areas that have many players (and objects) concentrated in one place, but they got even shittier with every big release that added new code and features.

Must be the same deal here, something got changed/added in this release that your CPU can't handle anymore.
For me this release i also noticed my frames being way lower than before, although not as dramatic as in your case, but still very noticeable.

Don't count on the DEVs to make any significant optimizations to decrease CPU load.
All you can really do is buy a new CPU or computer, or overclock your CPU.

Remember, this game can only utulise one single CPU core, so the clock rate is the most important factor, not how many cores your CPU has. So make sure to get a CPU with a high clock rate.

That has always been a problem

On your windows settings, change the power options to PERFORMANCE MODE and when you are with PR opened, change the CPU AFFINITY on PRBF2.exe process at Task manager to use CPU 0 and check if the cpu usage on CPU 0 still spiking.

So sei que nada sei.

I think this is a much bigger issue than just a small drop in FPS. I tell you the difference is drastic and there is a lot of people who is in the same situation. The game used to run very smoothly before and now it seems to be running below 30 fps.
Visually nor audibly I cant see any difference in quality ingame yet so I think the change was a very bad trade off.
