The Hound is totes gonna get wightified and he will be the one they take to KL to show Cersei, leading to zombie Cleganebowl.
To get a proper cleganebowl the Hound would need to retain his swordsmanship and bamf attitude, like Coldhands/Benjen, but the magic that made Coldhands/Benhen able to retain his free will also prevents him from going south of the wall (plus the CotF are no more).

No zombie Cleganebowl unless the mountain goes beyond the wall .

Yea, some of the previous seasons really felt like so much time was wasted on useless shit instead of bringing the story forward. Sometimes, 3, 4, 5, episodes nothing really happened and then they waste an entire episode on some huge battle and a bit of story. This season is much nicer in terms of stuff actually happening.

Although he brings up an interesting point. They could have taken someone just beyond the wall in a cage, killed them, wait for the body to turn into a wight, then go back south. Or they could have, if it weren't for, you know, ethics and stuff.

This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

doesnt work like that. You need a white walker to (on pruporse) reanimate the body. In the books, Jon Snow puts 2 wildlings bodys in "ice cells" beneath The wall and puts guards waiting for the reanimation, but it never happens.

Remember the show runners don't have a book to write off now. Also if they would follow the old pace, the current situation would only take place somewhere in season 10. Thats the issue with GRRM, he is an old school writer that stretches the storyline to its max in his books. I highly doubt he will finish his books in his life time if he continues writing in that speed.

Doesn't explain the continuity problems. Besides, they basically have the forthcoming books. GRRM met all his publisher goals except actually finishing it completely.
To me, the show has become a shadow of its former self, which was already a shadow of its former self compared to the first 2 seasons. Not that I'm not enjoying it but it's now just light entertainment and I'm not being sucked into the story anymore.

That makes it even worse. Seems like it was just an excuse to portray Danny's 'mad king' side looming in her shadow. Which would have been fine if they had, I dunno, just put some Lannister cousin/officer or something there to burn. Tarly being this hostile towards a Targaryan but loyal to the Lannisters (whom he has served like what, a couple of weeks) did not make any sense.

Such a shitty episode, so many convenient things happened to keep them running and as in the previous episodes such shitty excuses and pretexts to explain why certain things would or wouldn't happen.
Atm the sisters feud, as annoying as it is, is the only realistic thing happening putting aside Littlefinger bullshitting "THE BRAVOS GRADUATE" in Arya.

Not to mention the end when Uncle "Plotdevice" Benj appears out of nowhere to give him yet another chance at life lol, then goes just yolo cuz its not like the horse could've carried both of them.
