What's the issue with having all chat? There's some chatter from time to time and admins can easily take care of any spammers. No need to limit this

We should expand on how to make the players engage in more in game chat. It would be better to be able to toggle chats on and off rather than removing the chat as a whole as propsed by Wicctator.

I think disabling all chat completely would have a negative effect on an already tiny population of players. Part of the charm of PR for some (me) is the occasional banter between friends and rivals in chat. People have friends that they only connect with in game and removing chat would put up a barrier if you happen to not get in their team/squad. Spam can be annoying but its easily policed by admins.
Also consider new players. They can quickly query 100 people in all chat vs the 7 potential d-bags in their squad who don't like new players, and then continue on their way playing the game. |
