I think like that they clutter up the map too much. It would look ok if the squares were half the size, but then I guess they wouldn't be as useful. IMO letters/numbers round the edges is probably the best way to do it.

The grid references in the squares can be smaller - they were made larger so that the air force pilots could read them quickly whilst flying

I love it. It would make designating enemy positions easier if you don't have line of sight. Also you could say 'Tank moving from E6 Moving north

a better map reading system has been a long time coming. squads can move based on references rather than objects or having to have visual line of sight to mark.
have to make sure that it is both readable and won't obscure spotted enemy or even friendlies that might suddenly appear and you blow them away. |

Bloody fantastic!
It does clutter up the map slightly, but there have been talks of revamping the HUD anyway to make the minimap a feature that you bring up by holding down a button. Few tweaks and that and it could be highly usable. Dont ask me what to do though, logistics arent my thing. I think this would greatly enhance gameplay if it could be implimented in some form. Nice one Maverick. *high five* ![]() ......its from Top Gun ![]() |
