So what about quality of the product as a whole at the moment?
Patched hard? Worth a buy? Wow?

look at the date when the video was posted, i just find it funny, how amazingly relevant it still is.

anyway only buy if like having pretty icons in the steam library.

There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.

The game is a little better. The most important factor to playing right now is to find servers with a good FPS. And that can be difficult sometimes.

Easily added in by a solid mod, TMR. Lets you rest any weapon on rocks, walls, etc by pressing the "Next Target" button (recommend set to Tab) and for all bipod equipped weapons you rest them even more steadily by deploying the bipod (sadly not animated... but at least it actually does something)

Why is it that BIS can't seem to do what modders do with ease?

Always wondered about BIS tbh.I mean they use a supped up version of the op flash engine with very little changes apart from cosmetic and can't add simple gameplay mechanics....Could never work out if they are lazy or incompetent.

Could somebody be kind enough to do a list of things that are better in arma3 then a modded arma2 besides graphics?

in hoc signo vinces

I've never played ARMA3, but from what I can tell from videos... the biggest difference is much better physics modeling.

Smoother animations, optimization, modular weapon system, a better outfit management for more character customization, picture in picture...
not that much actually but it's the little things...

Many thanks to everyone involved in the making of the best videogaming experience ever !
