Default include DOD in all maps in-game

Hi

Could we make so all maps have dod on each map visible?
It will increase quality of play a lot more and people will not get banned/kicked for mistakenly shooting assets in DOd depending on the server rules.

I did some research on that over a year ago so I guess I'm the best person to tell you it's not gonna happen without some binary magic.

Right now there are 2 possibilities:
1. Printing DOD of just one side
2. Editing the minimap image itself

The first option is pretty useless for obvious reasons and has only be used on a few COOP layers.
The second option is also useless because there may only be one minimap file per map and on quite a few maps DODs differ on a per-layer basis.

Well then break it, like you broke all the seats. Allowing every seat in a chopper to be filled then making your own seats for guys who don't have any. Its cool ASF everything you guys do.

1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

+ 1 for this

At least just add a white or red line that represents the DOD boundary. Weve lost alot of good honest players to perma bans on HOG because of players in air assets losing track of where these invisible boundarys are. At least 40 or 50 players have been perma banned on HOG because of this. If this is implemented I hope HOG unbans the players who made this accidental mistake.

One option would be adding all DOD zones on the minimap, just different coloring for each layer which will be clarified somewhere in the corner.

Possible yes, but not sure if it wouldnt get too cluttered especially if all 4 layers have different DoD. Also would have no option to turn it of which might be annoying.

We need something that is visible to pilots at all times.

HOG server is using this rule to permanently ban people. How can we follow a rule of something we cannot clearly see. Its like removing a stop sign from an intersection and then arresting people who dont stop.

Without this clear indication of DOD boundary's someone can blatantly just sit in the DOD above a base at 1000 and get anyone who attacks them perma banned. Which is the case on HOG with so many players.

Maybe the map icons system could be used? My idea would be to have a map sized icon with the DoD lines for each layer that uses different DoDs which get drawn on the map using the same system as the contact icons and have it be non-interactable like the mine markers. As far as i know those markers support transparency but I have no idea if the icons can be different resolutions and how it would affect those that play the game itself on different resolutions.
