Default Kozelsk STD Layer - GPO is unbalanced

What the title says, Russia gets a T90, BMP3, and a trans chopper (lol) while Milita gets the trash T62 and sprandrel with a 20 minute delay.

This is incredibly unbalanced and IMO deserves being looked at.

Remove all the AT guns, add CAS to mill. EZ fix.

Seriously, Mill has a lot of advantages on the map. something to the number of 20+ AT guns, as well as terrain. They also have 2 BMP 1s with FRAG, 8 second reload HEAT rounds and ATGMs (even if they are shitty).

Its really not as bad as you think it is.

Map gallery says:

T-90A + BMP3 + BTR-80
vs.
Spandrel + SPG + 2x BMP-1

A good SPG crew alone can deal with the BMP an BTR. For the T-90A you need some coordination, but yes, it has been proofen difficult a lot of times.

My suggestion: Delay the T-90 and the BMP-1. Gives more room for INF fights in the beginning and it gives time to Militia to setup an ambush.

The balance is broken as fuck, RUS even has area attack and a chopper...

If DEVs want to fix that just exchange the T90 with the shitty T72 and give it a delay...

Played this map and especially this layer a lot and it is very unbalanced.

T90 vs T62/delayed (Thermals, ATGM, better armour, faster gun, ..... spawns directly)

BMP 3 vs BMP 1 (nothing to say)

BTR80 vs BRDM (guess what does more damage)

Area Attack vs No AA (Russia can clear positions every 30min)

Chopper vs No chopper (Russia can drop FOBs everywhere)



Balanced teams will always result in Russia wining.

Please fix the balance by deleting the chopper and exchanging the T90 with Grozny T72 (and maybe BMP3 with BMP2 also)

The reason mill assets are worse is because they get half the map and a number of AT guns everywhere.

Russia so OP, yet for the most part they struggle to capture and hold their first cappable flag.

Not to mention that in this mix of forests, mountains and swamps assets already have hard time. You must remember that every squad can have lat, hat doesn't have to run around whole map to find target since the fight is always around first checkpoint, acces to the every other flag on STD western flag layout can be denied by simply blowing up one bridge. Also there are only few roads that assets can use therefore ambushes +mines are ez af.

So, current RU assets are:
1x T-90 (20 minutes)
1x BMP-3 (15 minutes, delayed)
1x BTR-80 (15 minutes)
1x MT-LB (10 minutes)

The only valuable asset on that map is a tank and determined enemy will hunt it down easily with hat or 2 synchroed lats to the back(ez because it's forest) or with assets that exist on the other side only to counter what russia has and not to rape infantry or have any other impact on the game. The rest is useless since anyone with lat can take them down and their respawn times are too high imo(15 minutes for assets that will die alot in push-style AAS is too much).

Russia is attacking and militia is defending. 1:1 asset balance would only make it more unbalanced in favor of militia.

I'll remind, that Kozelsk used to have tickedbleed because of which the map was lasting for ~20 minutes. One of the reasons was(and still is) militias teritorial advantage at start and russians being unable to capture first flag. Now the game lasts longer, but russians still have problems getting ground.

-J10 is hard to flank because militia controls the area from fobs on the rear
-H8 flags are difficult to acces due to one being in narrow passage and the other on top of the hill, try flanking that
-D7 flags are basically bunkers
-D4 flag is giga bunker, super easy to defend
-M8 is another giga bunker complex with only 3 entrances, easy to defend
-L3 is the hardest flag for militia, but if russia doesn't have assets at the time then it is as difficult as usual.

Every flag that militia has is easy to defend and there are many good spots for fobs which russians can't acces without hard struggle.

Boost RU, not militia. Give them a f*kin hind i say (seriously)

In which directions are the changes going?

From my experience there are 3 points that would improve the gameplay a lot:

1. Exchange T90 with Grozny T72
Because: the T72 could deal with all Militia assets without being too OP against INF through termals.


2. Delete the Trans helo
Because: It would change the fact that Militia has a hard time securing their suplylines while Russia can build FOBs everywhere.


3. Pull the forward spawnpoints of Militia a bit back torwards their main and make 1 more flag gray.
Because: The match result wouldnt be 90% dependend whether Russia can secure their 1 flag. Sometimes publics are just a bit too slow in their deployment.
