Default U.S. M35 Truck

Very happy with the changes in the U.S. M35 2 1/2 ton truck (Commonly known as the deuce n' a half). I'm glad with the engine capabilities it still has. If i'm not mistaken that model has a hypercharged (both turbo and supercharged) Continental LDS-465 I-6 Diesel. So its still faster than the humvees (as well it should be) although it ways about 4 tons more. The engine sounds are still good, goes through all shifts properly and you can hear the turbo spooling up. Also airbrakes sound nice. I think i've noticed a bit more offroad capability since .85?

But BEST change is that now i can just look out the back window to back up! Unlike the previous version where i kept running over people cause you could only turn your head so far.

And what the hell was up with one view just showing a set of duelies and a rear differential?

All in all, great job keeping the seemingly disliked M35 in great shape

and even if it was a 2.5 ton truck, it couldnt weigh 4 tons more than a humvee, because then humvees would weigh -1.5 tons XD

I was commenting on the nomenclature -- 2.5 ton truck does not refer to its weight.

First off, the M923 5 ton looks nothing like the truck in game, which looks like an M35 2 1/2 ton.

M35 truck ingame:

M35 2 1/2:

M809 5 ton:

http://www.olive-drab.com/od_mvg_www_deuce_m809.php

The M35 is still used by the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. It is still being produced by Kaiser and AM General. I'm not an expert and it's fine if you prove me wrong, but i CAN'T find an M923 that looks like the truck ingame, I've looked everywhere, please prove me wrong its fine.

Sherman, my buddies '06 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a 3/4 truck and weighs 7.5 tons, and thats only because it has a 6.6 Liter Duramax Turbo Diesel! No way in hell an M35 weighs that little!

As for you "wookimonsta" read this:

The HMMWV weighs, unloaded : 5,200 lbs.

The M35 2 1/2 truck cargo variant with folding top and winch weighs: 13,500 lbs.

4 (U.S. Short) tons = 8,000 lbs.

13,500 lbs. - 5,200 lbs. = 8,300 lbs. = 4 tons plus change

Correct me if i'm wrong but.... I'm right.

P.S.- REad,

I'm saying this as a friend not some ass trying to still insult your AK. My buddy needs help with his, fized safety swivel it works great now.It is Romanian, i can get you a picture next time i go over there. The front sight aperture is kinda off, the straight steel spike in the middle is off to the right a bit, but under the sight is a horizontal beam off in the same direction, it seems to me if it was hammered the other way it would bring the spike with it? I hope you know what i'm talking about.

The only problem I have with the M-35 is that it needs a more refined cab. Just adding a coupple more polygons to the stearing weel would make it better. Nothing else needs to be changed.
