I really liked the 2nd episode. The acting and story telling is very strong so far, which considering the huge cast and the quite convoluted story is no mean feat.

My only criticism right now is that it seems to be moving too fast. I think they could have done with half again as many episodes.

Strong start though, hope it can keep it up.

That's a fair point, I completely forgot about that. I can only assume they're going to introduce it in a sort of flashback-type-thing or something at some point, as it (seems) pretty damn important. Don't see how they could get away with not mentioning it at all :/

Maybe they didnt want to put more 'fantasy' elements besides the Others. Anyways, jolly good episode. I love dogs so I almost cried when Arya was looking into Nymeria's eyes and when Ned killed Lady... poor puppies ;[

I don't know the original story so I'm not sure if it's moving too fast, but so far the series has in my opinion been very good on all aspects. I especially like how the setting is rather grim/serious and medieval than fantasy like, with the existing fantasy elements being more like myths that exist but are however rare and only few people believing in them.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Really enjoyed the first episode last week, then realised I wouldn't be able to easily watch the rest of the series (no Sky Atlantic at my house; I was staying with family for the initial ep)... so got hold of the first book, and had finished it with 24 hours.

Had to slow the pace a little for the second book but really enjoying it still; very well written and with deeply complex characters. Not entirely sure the TV series will be able to quite do them all justice. Will be keeping an eye out for when it's released on DVD though.

It starts May 4th on Canal+ in Norway, but there's always that thing which rhymes with "blorrent"...
