What I see with ArmA3 PR.

Good:
- Staff who actually post on the forum and engage with the community, eg. epoch.
- Large mod community base full of talented people.
- Stable engine with good mod tool support.

Bad:
- Performance.
- Overall lack of public players.

So I look forward to ArmA3 PR being released.

I am not a modder, but from what ive seen mods should not make a big impacts, the biggest FPS bomb should be the maps, but we have no info about that.

The Virtual Reality engine has never been lauded for its stability, but surely it can handle larger levels and more assets/players than Refractor 2, right?

On the contrary, that's where the ArmA 3 MP issues comes out from, the engine seems to handle better FPS generally but when developing the MP client something broke and when there is a heavy AI load the effects are both server-side and client-side (or something like that, if i remember correctly, what an expert on netcode wrote about it).


Supposedly, PvP with a lack of AI should make stable FPS, but on the other hand, yeah, objects do a giantic impact on the FPS, nearly as big as the drawing distance.

Hello. Can I just ask how far this mod is on its way? I really think arma 3 has BIG potential in the hands of the gods(devs) Is it like 10%-20%or 50% finished? Hope to get an answer

I've already said that I want us to release our first mission-based offering this year. I really hope we can. But if we can't then that's just too bad. PR is not the number one priority in our lives. It's our hobby.
