I recently have fallen in love with the lesser known bands of rock, kind of modern.
Finding new indie bands is a little hard though because no one has really heard of them, although they are really good. Do you have any suggestions of lesser knwon bands that you think are really good? So far i know of bands like The Ting Tings The Cold War Kids The Sounds Motion City Sound Track Vampire Weekend Band of Horses Blur Any suggestions of bands that sound like these above, or have the same style would be greatly appreciated. |

Never heard of Band of Horses but everyone needs to hear some Horse the Band:
You might appreciate this: Totally accidental horse relation to the first vid I posted... When it comes to lesser known bands, I'm more about the metal but Pulled Apart by Horses are possibly more to your taste. I used to listen to Biffy Clyro when they were a little less known, 2004 still seems like yesterday to me. They're a bit more mellow, give 'em a try if you've not listened to them. Just gonna throw some more rock at you that is about as far from metal that I can think of... <3 Death From Above 1979 <3 |

You might like:
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs The Black Angels Silversun Pickups The Horrors Mono (japan) is pretty awesome too. BUT, you haven't truly lived until you've listened to Radiohead. And lots of it. Try checking out the "live from the basement" videos on youtube. |

They're not really lesser known, but (suprisingly to many), Modest Mouse didn't just write "Float On". They have a ton of older and newer stuff that is really good. A.M. is awesome as well, though I wouldn't classify them as Indie.
