Famas to be replaced on French army by 2017

Official decision to find a successor for the Famas has been made.
The new riffle, make by Beretta, don't have name for the moment, but is almost ready.

Modern riffle, lighter, more easy to make the maintenance, easy to add accessories.
90'000 riffles planned.

Is it actually being replaced by that gun? Or is the replacement to be selected by 2017? The arx-160 that you pictured i know is in the shortlist but i'd be surprised if it won tbh.

Nooo, France, why u do this? If you're going to replace them, at least trade up to a better caliber. Get a G3 or something.
Look at how amazing this thing is.

It doesn't even need rails. I mean why would it? It's a G3, it's perfect just the way it is.

The EF-88 is brand new, only adopted by Australia.

The picture is from press, not the official gun.What is sure it that Berreta will make the gun, and the maintenance will be done by a french manufacturer that is partner from berreta (the last french gun manufacturer). It may be based on ARX 160, but can be new design for french army.

About Thales F90, we don't have any one to build it, so you should have a local subcontractor that is making the gun under licence.

For the Felin, it is a complete gear, and just the gun scope need to be adapt, this is quite simple.

I am not military, so i don't have more information than the press or rumor from coworker that have an eyes on military stuff.
