Why you should boycott world cup

At this rate we should just block the worldcup from being held in nations that do not already have the infrastructure. Just hold it in any of the Western nations that already have 5+ stadiums.

Brazil and Qatar, I don't give a crap where it's held, I don't want any of this "Look at these inhumane conditions" crap running up to it.

haha Limeni. Any call for a boycott should have started ages ago. World Cup starts in less than 24 hours. No time left to make any boycotting campaign that would be remotely close to be of any use. Although i do recall an initial call for a boycott from this girl in this "Why I won't go the World Cup" video that went viral a few months ago. Still it is something you want to start several years beforehand for it to have any chance of sucess.

Nonetheless.... Russia is still 4 years away, and Qatar is in 8 years.

On the other hand it's FIFA. Nobody really gives a rat's ass about injustice, corruption or human rights abuses that take place in the host country. It's hardly a recent development. Remember Argentina in '78? Munich 1936? (Not FIFA but still relevant) It's all just business and we, the consumers, go along with it.

Anyways, I'll be rooting for Germany even if the World Cup doesn't have for me the charm it pretends to have. I have to be careful 'though... I live in Argentina, and everytime Germany kicks out Argentina from a world Cup... well..... xD . Let's say one day I had to pretend being Canadian to avoid a lynching mob (2006)

Not happy with fifa, but I always like WC

It brings a nice atmosphere around here(doubt in brazil though). And for a first time in a while we are there too.

I hope in the next few years FIFA can steer away from their capitalistic mindset and be an actual sport of the people. Not just a big fat dollar sign.
