May at some point see another Dreadnought, but its kinda a name saved for a Battleship now as that is what its associated with predominately

Has been quite a few Dreadnoughts in the past, and in fact something I didn't know until just now was that the RNs first Nuclear Submarine was named Dreadnought...

Submarine aircraft carrier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
The Japanese applied the concept of the submarine aircraft carrier extensively. Altogether 47 submarines were built with the capability to carry seaplanes. Most IJN submarine aircraft carriers could carry only one aircraft, though a few types could carry two, and the giant I-400 class submarines could carry three.

Doesn't sound too bad - the wings folded in hydraulically, and the others stabs all folded up and over.

Quote:
To fit inside the narrow confines of the hangar, the wings rotated 90 degrees and folded backward hydraulically against the fuselage, the horizontal stabilizers folded down and the top of the vertical stabilizer folded over so the overall forward profile of the aircraft was within the diameter of its propeller...

A crew of four could prepare and launch all three in 45 minutes (or 15 minutes if the planes' pontoons were not attached). As the Seiran would normally be launched at night, parts and areas of the plane were coated with luminescent paint in order to ease assembly in the dark.

I didn't read any of the article, didn't have the time. Anyways, that doesn't sound too bad. 45 minutes to launch 3 aircraft in those days with what they had to do is pretty impressive.

Yeah, however the wording makes it sound like they had to manually attach the pontoons (if they wanted the plane to return).
