I read there it does simplify the rotating mechanism a lot compared to the Osprey, but why the open gaps for stuff to fly into? It looks like you'd need to cover that up against particles etc. blown up by the rotor downwash.

The s-64 skycrane has been flying with exposed components for decades and it seems to do fine.

the body of the UH60 with the rotors of a MV22, seems a bit bulky but maybe it will actually serve as a more reliable MV22 if anything, since the MV22 is really, really plagued with problems. then again, i don't really know..
the MV22 had many flight problems but was so damn resiliant and also served as a auxillary gunship(like the IDWS conversion kit worked decently and it also had future kits for missiles and rockets but i didn't really read up on those)

i don't think it'll replace the UH60 but it will def. have the possibility of serving as a middle ground between the UH60 and MV22. still, i would've liked to see a bit more progress placed into replacing the AAVP and/or funding the ACV rather than upgrading something that already works very decently(however it's not a surprise, it is being outdated by the second.. however so is the AAVP)

Damn its big. Replacing Black Hawk with this is shooting yourself in the foot. This thing seems to require a lot of space.
