Was pleasantly surprised by 12 Strong. I actually expected it to be an overly patriotic war movie with Hollywood style shooting and explosions. Instead, I think it was quite a realistic portrayal and the weapon sounds seemed very accurate.

Wait isn't that the one where they ride into battle on horseback whilst blazing away full auto?

It is, and apparently, it is a true story and there's a soldier on a horse statue in Manhattan but the story wasn't published as it wasn't declassified.

Ghost in the shell. Must say I was pleasantly surprised. Don't agree with the low rotten score at all, dont agree with the high scores VIII and panther received either though.

Rotten Tomatoes' scores are rarely to be trusted. Those so called critics usually judge films on all the wrong criteria instead of rating entertainment value. For example I remember how they trashed the first Transformers movie for not having a decent plot while it clearly solely aimed to mindlessly entertain with cool giant robot fights. The audience scores are usually much more reliable.

Movie critics work in such a subjective field I've always felt that it's best to find someone with tastes that are as close to yours as you can find then start there and work your way outwards eventually landing on RT.

Transformer movies have always failed to hit any mark other than "GIANT ROBOTS FROM MY CHILDHOOD!", I agree with most reviews saying the entire franchise is a horrible cash in. I grew up with Transformers, TMNT, GI Joe and Ghostbusters, the reboots of these franchises have been majority misses with very little entertainment to be found in the lot.

Just watched Deadpool 2 in the premier.
That's it, I'm done watching movies. We've reached the pinnacle. It can only get worse from now on
