AKMs didn't crop up in any quantity until the 70s when we were withdrawing.


Falklands has accurate equipment, and that's what they were trying with PR Vietnam with what was available.

Remove AKM from NVA LAT

Next to no AKMs were shipped to Vietnam before the 70s. They're especially anachronistic for Ia Drang or most battles involving the US really.
