Well that's not true. Thermals are made with pure bf2 coding, so they're not actually hard coded....

Everything is in meters and m/s. The BF speed unit thing applies only to hud velocity indicators and nothing else.

There IS wind in bf2, it can affect effects and overgrowth.

If you add "ObjectTemplate.pcoId 1" to PCO2's camera, you should be able to access that camera from PCO1 using ToggleCameraComp.

I've been told that replacing/modifying tr.exe causes punkbuster issues on some servers. So don't replace it. Although it'd be great if you could test the new exe to make sure it doesn't give any...

You're supposed to start PR with pr.exe, not tr.exe. And you can't start tr.exe manually.

Like I said, revert to the original exe and wait for the patch to come out.

AFAIK, it's only required for pr.exe, NOT tr.exe. So don't worry about it.

Yes.

1. Should be displayed right away, and SL should be able to see it.
2. No, the range indicator should always work (as long as you can see it).

FYI, the code that adds an effect to an animation is animationBundle.addEvent and animationBundle.setEventStartTime. So it can be done, but like Rhino said, it's unrealistic and it's not going to...
