Judging by the videos from the new animation system it seems like weapons will visually deviate from the centre of the screen, should make it more difficult to aim no matter how accurate you are.

If someone gets a hold the BF2 source code they better not do what that guy who found the StarCraft disc did.. instead just secretly leak it to R-DEV.

Deviation wasn't a feature that was meant to raise the skill ceiling, it's there to emulate some degree of realism. The problem with it is that it was always a half-step because you could never tell...

Well the same rule applies doesn't it? if PR had proper weapon sway, which it propably would have if the engine allowed it, you would be able to tell if your sight is stable or not.

I don't understand why the indicator would be seen as problematic, it's equivalent of actually seeing your sight stabilize if the game had proper weapon sway.

I'd rather have quality over quantity, complete the feature and then put it in.

If it proves to be unbalanced then remove an asset from the other team's arsenal or something similar and wait for...
