Re: Call of Duty: WW2

My dad bought me the game for Christmas and I dutifully installed and played it despite really not having much interest. And I can say the multiplayer portion, which is all I've played, is really...

Re: Squad: A commercial game made by developers of and inspired by PR:BF2

I'll play the game when I can shoot over three-foot-tall walls.

Re: Call of Duty: WW2

I've gone back and played a few old WW2 games recently - namely MoH: Airborne, CoD2, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Haven't played the new CoD.

MoH: Airborne is decent but has a lot of bugs....

Re: Squad: A commercial game made by developers of and inspired by PR:BF2

Yep. I get that it's meant to emulate real-life, but sometimes real-life doesn't translate particularly well to video games.

Re: Squad: A commercial game made by developers of and inspired by PR:BF2

I don't think it's animation. More controls and feedback. It's things like being unable to fire over low walls and not being able to go directly to iron sights out a sprint. It feels terrible.

Re: Forgotten Hope 2 (BF2 Mod)

Battlefield 2 came out over twelve years ago. The fact that any of these mods are still alive is frankly amazing and a testament to how good they all are.

Re: Squad: A commercial game made by developers of and inspired by PR:BF2

A friend of mine who played a lot of Project Reality and I were discussing Squad quite recently. We both basically agreed that the game just feels ... clunky ... in its current form. Shooting feels...

Re: Call of Duty: WW2

The problems is that CoD and Battlefield backed themselves into a corner. By embracing modern and then future warfare, they added a lot of content - holographic sights, female soldiers, drones - that...

Re: What are you listening to? III

On second listen in a row to new Lorde album and can honestly say it's the best pop music I've heard in the last year and a half or so. Maybe the last two. It's really fucking good.

Also very...

Re: What is the last movie you watched?

Yeah I mean, I get that it makes sense in the context of the plot that none of the characters have any direct involvement in the Holocaust and such, but that is a decision made by the show's writers....

Re: What is the last movie you watched?

Generation War (German WW2 Miniseries)

So I enjoyed this. Engrossing and very ambitious stories and moves at a rapid pace. Good battle scenes and sets and costumes and such. Relies way too much on...

Re: What is the last movie you watched?

I actually thought the Pacific was at least as good as BoB. It's tonally different. Much darker (which I personally liked but I think a lot of people may have been turned-off by) and I think a bit...

Re: Call of Duty: WW2

Whatever the case, it seems they've got people to care about a CoD game for the first time in years.

2142 Port

TBH I haven't paid much attention to PR:BF2 development for several years now and have just been hanging out in off-topic. Anyways, I just wanted to briefly ask (and I did search):

Years ago there...

Re: What are you listening to? III

Her music is a product meant to sell to - primarily - teenagers. Go figure that there's going to be angst and a lot of bullshit melancholy. But the song still sounds good to me.

Re: What is the last movie you watched?

Very off-topic, but I thought I'd mention that your English has improved an absolute ton over the last few years. It's pretty good now.

Re: What is the last movie you watched?

I haven't seen it but every time I hear what it's about I can't help but think that it's just about the most Oscar-baity movie imaginable.

I really dislike the thing where your weapon snaps to wherever you last looked in freelook.

Re: How to deal with the death of a loved one?

Physical exercise can help. I personally find that weight lifting can relax me. It's simple. It's repetitive. It's productive.

Also music.

Re: The military media thread (Photos/Videos/Links/etc) Pt. 3

Can anybody help me identify these pieces of British equipment?

Pretty sure this is some sort of IED jammer, but not sure:

8448

Thing on left in the picture below is a Vallon. Not sure...
