The magnification on the G28 was changed because the high zoom in conjunction with the magnification meant that it was useless on closer ranges since a shot would fling you off-target completely.

Generally speaking most automatic weapons fire at 600 or 900 RPM depending on if the IRL rate is above or below 750 RPM. The Famas does fire at 900 RPM, the other two at 600 RPM.
