You can download the map to your local echo chamber and then add it to the PR levels folder again after updating.

There is no compression.

There was stretching (sideways, but not up and down), which was removed.

By any measure, the new map is more accurate than the old one.

With his argument, on the old map a guy who was 50m away from you would show on map:

50m away if he's north or south of you
65m away if he's east or west of you

You can discuss the changes...

If you get modern Graphics Card, that supports DirectX 9.0c, it will work.

Issue is that then you would go reload your techie and in no-time you got 20 PKP Pick-Up kits. Or you need to limit it again and then link the vehicle inventory to the kits in use in the team right...

I think the current armband are a good compromise. There are still plenty of teamkills, the weapons sound the same, but without the complete chaos from before.
