Re: Hawkei officially replacing the Land Rover in the ADF?

RWS Javelin? wouldn't that be class.
My guess would be RWS MAG 58 or 12.7mm and a cupola variant with the same weapon systems.

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

Hopefully this won't happen - works well in the first few years as people adapt, then crumbles from human error. just look at SMCA.

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

I'm fairly certain that DMO did a review of the f88 back in '09, but the outcome was indecisive as the weapon systems they assessed, in their mind did not suit our troops. With reverting back to 7.62...

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

I'm glad DMO actually got around to acquiring new equipment that we can use.
for a while there I thought we were getting the MK46, but I guess that was just a rumour.

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

5/7 perhaps? Without getting of topic, will the MAG58 have the wildcat sight mounted? as this is used in deployment.

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

Think about an Australian sniper team and what they have on their quad bikes.
SR25, mp5, usp 45, mk46, CG 84mm, barret 50. but that's all i can remember. Point is, we need more firepower on the...

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

Don't forget the m113 with the huge infantry hatch. but without getting of topic, having a rear mounted mag58 implemented would provide additional firepower to the Australian faction due to the lack...

Re: MAG-58 for Aussies?

True that there is an RWS on the bushmaster (12.7 or 7.62) but the two rear infantry hatches can and usually have either minimis or mag58s on them.

Re: Tips on making Soldiers more Combat Effective (Includes Diagrams)

Again it all comes down to communication within the brick. I've seen the occasional squad stacked up against a building all facing the one way only to have one bloke with a ppsh take them all from...

Gunner seat view in the M1A1

As we know, attack helicopter gunners have a seat view in which they can swap to their weapon sights and engage targets. would it not be nice to go back to your seat view and check your coax/main in...

Re: [Vehicle] ASLAV / ASLAV-PC

In Aus, we name our vehicles after the first letter of the squadron.
So, BSS or PR?

Re: Smoke

I agree, but it would vary with rounds.
for example with the M1a1, MPAT and HEAT produce a decent explosion vs Sabot where the biggest explosion is the tank itself. In my experience with LDFSW's...

Re: Question: mortar round collisions with structures.

On a local server we messed around for a while, and in the end i stood on top of a friendly mortar. i died when it fired. So if there is no building collision but it collides with player, would that...

Re: Tank round question

In Australia we use MPAT (Multi Purpose Anti Tank) which is used mostly against armored and air targets as it will detonate in the direction of a large source of metal. we use HEAT in live ammo...
