I think there is a maximum amount of data the DEVs try to stick too which is why we don't see every map in every update.

If you drop a crate someplace you are not at, it can be very possible you won't be able to find it unless there is some indication on the map, or if it is a wide open area.

I didn't miss it. I don't think it would work to put two functions on the one weapon slot, or at least not be worth the effort to mod it.
