I don't know about time and energy wasted. I've learned immense amounts of modelling skills from working with PRWW2, Photoshop skills (they still suck haha), exporting to a game engine / workflows,...

You're correct, that being said the deviation in PR is meant to replicate weapon sway and such, which is indeed present in Squad. Depending on your stamina the sway may be heavier, etc.
