So the 2006 recap Argentina Deutsland is going to be next?

This is, just like WC 2006. Well back then in Groups we had Netherlands, Cote d' Ivoire and Serbia and Montenegro, here, well you know them.

In 2006, KnockOuts: Mexico. We won 2-1 thanks to a great goal by Maxi Rodriguez if im not mistaken, today, thanks to a great goal by Tevez.

2006, in Quarters we faced Germany... Next Saturday, we are having a Revenge, hopefully :)

AHW @#*&!!!

That what I feared would happen.... finally happened. :(

Germany versus Argentina in the Quarter-Finals. Although I really want Germany to complete and utterly destroy's Argentina's dreams of holding the world cup... I fear Argentina is going to get the ticket for the Semis.

And if Germany by some miracle wins.... Well let's say that going out to celebrate would be very unwise from my behalf. ^^;

Brazil vs German final, and Brazil will win, because I get £20 if they do :p

Hm, well I think germany has a strong team this cup. Argentina, yes, but its not like Germany already lost.

I think Germany might just do it.

Would be cool if Europe would win the cup.

No please, im sick of Europe winning WCs. I would kill to see Ghana owning Brazil or someone in Finals. Really, Africa is Waking up, in Old WCs the only African teams that made it were Algeria, Tunisia, Marocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Cameroon.

It all started in 2002 With Senegal, now Occidental Africa teams are waking up, Mali, Angola, South Africa, Cote d' Ivoire, Ghana..., and slowly replacing the old Teams, or the Northen Teams.

In a few years it will be the time for, Sudan, Botswana, Mozambique, Kenya.. Just wait and see..

Message to Agent Capello:

Mission accomplished. Return to Scotland.

I cant believe people are blaming Capello when before the world cup everyone said "Capello is great, if anything goes wrong its the players fault and not his"

Suck it england :p

if the referees werent so damn blind we could have won, the defense would have got there heads straight and the momentum from scoring 2 goals in 55 seconds would have turned it around for us.

No mate, England were never gonna win that match. As said before, Poetic Justice that England lose to Germany and score a goal which should of been allowed, however 44 years ago they won against germany and scored a goal which shouldnt of been allowed :)

So England, enjoy the flight, hope you fly economy class as its the most you deserve (actually, they deserve to walk home but im afraid they will all still get their millions of pounds and the free flight, booze, magazines etc)

While I'm super glad Germany spanked the English. I'm uneasy about them playing Argentina. I was hoping that by some fluke Mexico would have defeated them.....oh well GERMANY for the cup!

OMG ahaha they didn't show that for our broadcast here.

I predict that today Netherlands will win against Slovakia although I want Slovakia to win and Brazil will crush Chile. And the final will be Brazil vs Germany and Germany wins :D
I feel bad for the english, they got slaughtered.

EDIT: Omg, sorry for double post, the reply was glitching.... !

Yeah that to-be-goal by lampard was obvious goal but still Germany was better. England wouldnt have won anyways just by looking at their performance in the group stage, just sad. Gotta thank England though for knocking out those stupidly lucky Slovenians, god I hate them :D Also, does beckham always dress in a fncking tux when he is on sidelines?

Merged ;) - Jig

I find it even better...Argentina's performance was barely worth the word "good"...they have built up only 2 real attacks in the entire game (I dont count Tevez's shot from 20+ meter as a real attack). They were lucky for that illegal goal and even luckier for the Mexican defender's stupidity.

All in all they played poorly...the biggest and pretty much only highlight was that Tevez's shot

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Dutch will get past Slovakia easily i assume. However, the biggest question is : Will the Argentina forwards manage to exploit the gaps in slow German Defence?

Im not asking this question for the German side since its too obvious that Germany will create lots of chances in Argentina defensive line. The lack of passing in Argentina midfield will most likely let Germans to get past midfield too easily. In this case, without any proper help from the midfield, Argentina defence will have lots of troubles especially when facing the deadly through passes from organized German attacks.

Germany's offence is heavily dependent on Klose since he distracts the opposition defenders and takes them away from their positions so the remaining forwards such as podolski, muller and mesut sneak into those gaps and scores.

However, i think that German defence is still lacking in speed and coordination, and a team with superb attacking flow may exploit this situation. Even Ghana was nearly scoring against them easily on the group stage however, their forwards were lacking on finishing skills.

I don't know what you mean exactly but it was a total justified penalty.. Stekelenburg grabbed the Slovakian by his leg with 2 hands..
