I actually quite like the vuvuzelas. Whilst they are a slightly irritating background noise I think they create a lot of atmosphere, especially when the stadium isn't quite full like during the South Korea v Greece game earlier.
Really excited by Argentina v Nigeria now though, hoping for a good game :D |

Messi is looking really lively, I love watching him run at the opposition. Tbh though Argentina should be further ahead, cannot understand why Higuain is playing when they have the quality/30 goals this seasonness of Diego Milito on the bench.

If that had been passed on as planned, then England would have been in a bad situation now. I am pretty amazed to see how well agressive england played the first half?/more? of the first round. Very well played. Including in defense...was fast how the Engliosh team reacted with what -5,6,7 players as howard? + one more US player tried to get to the english goal first. For quite some time it seemed that the US team was about to be overrun...BUT! then a true comeback deployed it self, and after that you could just see how much the goal created of self-confidence on the US team. Next round will be more than interesting! *** England is deploying a lot of pressure now. Pressure cost energy. Will there come a US counterattack? *** 1 - 1 Good fight, well played defense from the US team. That was a lot of pressure the English team deployed. Impressive pressure. Dangerous teams, both of them *** I knew it would be an interesting match. |

Strange to see a substitution so early for anything other than an injury, although I suppose you really don't want to go down to 10 men in a game like this. Would have put on Joe Cole instead of Wright-Philips though...
