French team is embarassing their nation at this point.

I really like the simultaneous group play for the third game. Everything is flying around in terms of qualifying. Should be fun tomorrow for Group C.

I can not wait until tommorrow, I am a passionate England fan, having been to most England home games over the years.

You will see a different team tommorrow - I guarantee you, they will be awesome.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

So if the US wins tomorrow they are in?

They just can't lose, right? Supposedly they can draw as long as England draws or loses?

I think we'll win though.

EDIT: Here are the scenarios:

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/377878...ts-world_cup/:

Quote:

1) The United States would advance with a victory over Algeria, which would give it five points. Because England plays Slovenia, one of those teams can't finish with five.

2) The United States would advance with a draw against Algeria, which would give it three points, as long as England loses to Slovenia OR England-Slovenia ends in a draw AND the U.S. maintains a goal advantage over England. Currently, the U.S. has three goals and England has one.
So either one of those scenarios looks pretty good. If we were to draw, England would have to either lose or draw as long as they don't score 3 goals. Which that's highly unlikely, losing or drawing with 3 goals.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

From ESPN:

GROUP C

USA advances with:
(A) Win versus Algeria on Wednesday
(B) Tie and Slovenia-England tie IF England does not outscore USA by 2-plus goals
(C) Tie and England loss

Slovenia advances with:
(A) Win or tie versus England
(B) Loss AND USA tie versus Algeria
(C) Loss and Algeria win as long as Algeria doesn't make up tiebreakers

England advances with:
(A) Win versus Slovenia
(B) Tie AND USA-Algeria tie AND outscores USA by 3 goals

Algeria advances with:
(A) Win versus USA AND Slovenia win/tie versus England
(B) Win versus USA AND Slovenia loss versus England AND makes up tiebreakers on Slovenia

Note: If the U.S. draws with Algeria and England draws with Slovenia, and England scores exactly two more goals than the U.S., the U.S. and England would be even on all tiebreakers for second place. The tie would be broken by drawing lots … aka a coin flip.

What is Domenech whining about to the S Africa coach? Not that he has any dignity left, but still.

$20 says 2-1 Slovenia on a goalkeeping error.
