Should I uninstall previous downloaded versions of BF2
Hello again after a long sabbatical of 13 years. To my joy, many issues are being addressed to make this run on Win10. However I have installed a downloaded version, still not working because of LOCERROR using my disc numbers.
Then I found PR: BF2, one of my favourite mods of the game. So I have D/L the 10GB version and have it ready to go but...Should I remove the other version? it is not working and there are issues in the Documents area.
I don't want to end up with a whole heap of issues because of double entries and version types. I figure a clean install of one type is the best solution. Additionally, there are the benefits of the mods, maps and of course the non-vanilla gameplay.

This is a cut down version of the specs of the unit I am using for gameplay if it helps to understand what is what in the big scheme of things. Sorry, it is still long-winded but I was not sure how much more to delete without affecting the core values.

Re: Should I uninstall previous downloaded versions of BF2
If you have an older version of Project Reality, uninstall it and then install the latest version.

PR is standalone, has not needed original BF2 game to be installed for quite some time, and iirc does not interfere with any BF2 folders so you could have both installed and running separately without issue.

As far as LOCERROR relating to BF2, again, not relevant to Project Reality so maybe check BF2 forums or info on that front.

New versions of PR likely don't conflict with anything. What issues are you having?

The issues are with the vanilla version and I get the LOCERROR. it is, as far as I know, to do with the My Documents changing to Documents. There may be more, but with M/soft updating the beejebus out of this thing, I don't know who has tested what on which version.

I haven't as yet started the install of PR until I heard back from the guys here. Being standalone makes it a great option, so I just need to read up on the install procedure or print it out so I can refer to it as I go along.
