Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
Dude, im one to root for the underdog, but there are limits. I support portugal, and they played against an underdog that was suprisingly doing well, i couldnt support n korea on this occasion cause they were playing against my team.
And portugal will have a tough time against brasil thats for sure, but we wont let brasil win. No sir. Were gonna hold our ground. and if we lose, im saying 2-1. |
Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
Portugal's players are a bit too arrogant to be honest.

The North Korean 2014 World Cup team will be made up of 100% new players after today's performance. Lil Kim will make sure of that.

No seriously, I am sad on their behalf. North K has an extremely bad reputation when it comes to human rights. Maybe the real heroes of this world cup, was actually those North K players? Playing a game, with their lives at stake? Hopefully not. Then again. Maybe these players are among the most brain washed and might even want to be punished for their betrayal to their kind, great leader. I know this is a football thread...wait, THE football thread, but still, N K is a bad place for any human to be born. Lets not forget that in the end, it has been mother nature, who decided, where we through our blood-line, are born. We don't decide that us self. From there on, its about to survive and get along. Not an easy thing in North K. This is really not a football related post, please delete should you find it too diverging. If that's the case, my apologies. |
Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
Do the fans with the vuvuzelas at the games even watch the game? Or do they just sit there and blow the entire time?

I hope that those football players wont have a bad end. They actually played a great first half + game against Brazil. Sad that they lost focus in 2nd half against Portugal. |
Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
feel sorry for the north koreas...all are gonna be put to death on their return.

It'd be a smart move from the norks to defect right now.
Argentina plays tomorrow.... I'm likely to be the single *sshole sitting in the class since the class starts at the same time the match does. |

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
French team is embarassing their nation at this point.
I really like the simultaneous group play for the third game. Everything is flying around in terms of qualifying. Should be fun tomorrow for Group C. |
Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
I can not wait until tommorrow, I am a passionate England fan, having been to most England home games over the years.
You will see a different team tommorrow - I guarantee you, they will be awesome. ;) ps. 2-0 to RSA now |

So if the US wins tomorrow they are in?
They just can't lose, right? Supposedly they can draw as long as England draws or loses? I think we'll win though. EDIT: Here are the scenarios: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/377878...ts-world_cup/: Quote:

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
From ESPN:
GROUP C USA advances with: (A) Win versus Algeria on Wednesday (B) Tie and Slovenia-England tie IF England does not outscore USA by 2-plus goals (C) Tie and England loss Slovenia advances with: (A) Win or tie versus England (B) Loss AND USA tie versus Algeria (C) Loss and Algeria win as long as Algeria doesn't make up tiebreakers England advances with: (A) Win versus Slovenia (B) Tie AND USA-Algeria tie AND outscores USA by 3 goals Algeria advances with: (A) Win versus USA AND Slovenia win/tie versus England (B) Win versus USA AND Slovenia loss versus England AND makes up tiebreakers on Slovenia Note: If the U.S. draws with Algeria and England draws with Slovenia, and England scores exactly two more goals than the U.S., the U.S. and England would be even on all tiebreakers for second place. The tie would be broken by drawing lots … aka a coin flip. |
