i agree. felt like netherlands would have won the penalties, and that would have been pretty lame.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

I got the impression that both teams were undeserving. What a foul-fest, Netherlands earned their loss by playing way to aggressive. Fairly unprofessional showing on both sides, was a poor excuse for a football game. The fact that it dragged on into extra time only went to prove both teams were unfit to raise the cup in glory. It was a World Cup match of "who will mess up more", as opposed to "who brings more talent to the table".

I can only hope next tourney some teams with offensive talent will make it to the finals, this years final was ho-hum at best and lack-luster overall. The first half was a bad showing from both sides, and while the 2nd did have more open field plays it was simply a display of who played worse, as opposed to who played better.

Congrats to Spain, I hope they realize what a Cinderella story theirs really is, and I hope next time the teams in the finals give us the show we expect.

(11 fouls, and 1 red card in the Fifa world cup? How unprofessional are these squads?)

Not a lot of those yellow cards were unjustified.

Well Done Spain and kudos on yer first WC win!!

Well done to all Teams who made qualifing ( except France, who qualified through handball and then proceeded to make a c*ck of themselves).

Yeah, I felt the same. Winning in penalties is very lame, especially in the finals.

However, I declare Arjen Robben as the best player in the cup. In every match he fought like a real lion, and in this one he showed his determination to win this cup. I feel sorry for him, he gave everything he could, too bad he didn't score that goal in the second half.

The referee was good alot of hard decisions and in a world cup final, the referee was quite professional, if it had not been a world cup final some of the players from holland should have gotten a direct red. Karate kick in the chest for example.

Let's evaluate Finland's performance.. Oh wait..

Anyway, Well most were justified cards some were not, Shit happens.

Though that goal was bullshit, The 1st Attack (Not the goal) was offside and the freekick that hit the wall should've been a corner for the Netherlands.

All in all it wasn't undeserved.

Good match, Well done Spain, i hate to say it but after watching a HORRIFYING DUTCH PERFORMANCE you deserved to win!

If webb had decided he was gonna be one tough mofo holland would of had 7 men after the first half....

once again,

Congratulations Spain, well done.

Football is not a game for pussies, remember that. (all tho that ninja kick was way out of line rofl)

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Spain, I would not be so proud of your goal and you know why.

Still looking at the match, I am a little bit ashamed of Van Bommel. Really I wonder why they put him on the field, very unsportsmanship player.

The most bad thing is I drank too much and we lost. Well I'm gonna listen some nice classical music and then go to bed.

masterceo 2010-07-11 21:40

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

I was surprised by the extremely low performance of Sneijder. His only good appearance in the match was that free kick, other than that he was pretty much absent on the field.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Ahh well, Let's look at it from the bright side.. With the current Spanish economic situation they'll have to sell the cup soon anyway :D

Yeah most of the game he was good but then he missed some quite important events. Such as the karate kick. And the second half of over time was just pain to watch as spanish guys were jumping all over the place and getting freekicks for that. :?

And on this level he doesn't have to give a card everytime someone falls over. :|

The bright side on this WC is that the next one will feature videos.
