A long awaited weapon...

Yesterday [R-CON]Matty converted our L85 series into an L22A2. By 3 o'clock today it was textured and imported. Hows that for speed? :p

Here it is:

SA80 Body and Susat- Existing

L22A2 Conversion
UV: [R-CON]Matty
Texture: [R-DEV]Pride
Export: [R-DEV]Chuc

Ingame it will have a foregrip, like on this image from Chuc:

Unfortunately all my other PR work is on hold atm due to me being bang in the middle of my A-Level exams. However, hopefully you'll see me become more active again once they finish at the end of this month :D

The L22 is part of the "SA80" series, which the L85A2 and the L22A2 both fit into, along with the L86 etc.

The L22 has been in use in the British Army for years, as has the L85A2 and there are no plans to replace an assault rifle with a carbine.
I got my information from another thread talking about this (I believe from Off topic forums) they were saying that The British Army was replacing their L85s with L22s. If i'm wrong, I'm sorry. Too bad these aren't being used for Infantry. Looks awesome.

Dont belive everything you read on the forums

Wait a min, you can't believe what I say then either, ahhh never ending cycle

But really there are no plans to replace the L85s with L22, one of the MAs would have said if there was and it would be huge talk over in the Dev forums, + it would at least be mentioned on the Army or MoD sites

WHY should a pilot ned a weapon? he should be flying his helo and be deadly while doing that and not fight, its fine the way it is, if you go down, hide and call for a transport helo to pick you upb

ehmmm, the army does not use full auto m4's m8. special forces do, but the regular army is issued with burst/semi firing selector.
