Welcome to the Sbeneh Outskirts overhaul for PR 1.3! Nearing the end of last year I updated everyone over the addition of new building textures, new vehicles and textures for them and also the Syrian Rebel pick up kits that could be found on almost every layer of Sbeneh in 1.3. Now is to show you the most recent updates to Sbeneh Outskirts, enjoy!
First things you can see are the new cloudy sky texture along with the new ground colors.
Here we can see the perfect example of the new Syrian Rebel t62 tank texture at work. Also you will see the trees around the fields have been thinned (to try and boost performance) along with the addition of some palm trees to help give it that Syrian feeling.
Next up is the new sky for the Standard Insurgency layer. Here we have a night sky, but fear not as it is a full moon over sbeneh so still relatively bright! Hopefully this will keep people from boosting their screen brightness and actually enjoy a night layer.
Next up is something we have all been waiting for for quite some time. The AKM has finally arrived! This is not solely a change to the Syrian Rebels but most non-conventional forces. Just wait till you get your hands on it, it is quite fun.
Finally changes to the Syrian Rebel FOB system which need to be addressed to prevent confusion. In 1.3 the Syrian Rebels will be able to place their hideout aka doghouse anywhere with no crate needed. Though if you want to build emplacements off of it you will need crates. You may ask ?Why Rabbit? Why do you need crates for something like an SPG?? Well that is because the SPG has been removed from this faction, instead you will see the HJ8 as a place holder for the Konkurs. The Rebels will also see a few more pretty awesome emplacement changes, but that is for a different time.
First things you can see are the new cloudy sky texture along with the new ground colors.

Light settings that effect that and vehicles, the only way to get vehicles looking dark and not a strange dark orange color was do really darken it, so you get a loss of brightness on the rifles as well.
Yep, but the differences between the AKM and AKMS is pearly visual

Afraid not, the work it would require isn't worth the pay off, t62 is just find for the Syrian Rebels.Posted 2015-04-08 at 02:02 by Rabbit -

Hope so, terrain was smoothed out a bit but I believe mineral did some work on the T72 for it to work better on rough terrain.
Yep, it sure is.

Why not make AKM vs AKMS more like g36 vs g36k?
AKM shoot slightly more accurately with also negligibly less recoil but AKMS has better handling(less deviation from movement).
It's realistic too, old AKMS IRL tends to have wobbly stock.Posted 2015-04-08 at 02:06 by ComradeHX
