With Ka-29 heli and LPD ship made, we needed only a marine dedicated attack helicopter for the Russian NAVY force to be complete and authentic(no more Mi-28 on ships). And here it is a marine attack helicopter:

Ka-52K Katran("Katran" is a name of a little shark ) is a marine modification of standard Ka-52 Alligator. Ka-52K has shorter foldable wings, different foldable blades, anti-corrosive paint and a number of other new smaller details.

For many years some people asked for Ka-52 and we finally will have it, somewhat... However, although it looks cool, gameplaywise it won't be as good as other ordinary attack helis with fully rotating gun turret on their belly. Ka-52K cannon 30mm 2A42 with 460 rounds mounted on its side has limited movement range, in r/l it doesn't matter, but in game we have fog that forces close range engagement where limited cannon movement would be a disadvantage. It would be interesting to see how players would deal with it.

Unfortunately, this heli cannot be used as Ka-52 Alligator by simply repainting its skin into green for obvious major constructive differences. I think that is actually good though, because it would give a very unique feelings for marine and land warfare.
