I thought it was time for my first blog, and evidently our 400th Devblog!
So hi, I'm CT. I started playing around .95, I started modding here when someone needed a new texture for the Sherman tank, and then I just worked on more things from there. When I'm not mucking around in photoshop I'm working towards my Aviation Technologists diploma, which is fancy for I want to be a commercial pilot somewhere
I figured after our WW2 beta you guys are thirsty for more  so without further wait

Please remember all this is still WIP! Im only going to go over the texture side as the rest will come in a later highlight

As you can see, there are 4 different layers, 3 of which are usually used in all of our weapons. NOTE: I called it an alpha, technically its called the Opacity map, its used in the alpha channel in the refractor engine. The alpha is either a specmap or used for transparency like in the barrel guard in this case.
So here's a really basic go though of how I textured the browning after the model was ready. If you can read my writing that is, its not so good on a tablet :-P

Sweet !
Don't tell me this is just going to be in WW2 PR ?
Some unconventional kits could benefit from this thing...Posted 2016-01-14 at 09:03 by simeon5541 -

It's ok that this gun didn't really gain popular use in the US Army until November/December of 1944, it is still cool
