Whoa, that door so reminds me of SWAT4. Stacking up, ordering Red One to use the Breaching shotgun, Red Two tossing a nade and then chaos!

Uhm... Wrong game... Or not? Would be so much fun to have some good CQB ^^

Impressive how you got that stone texture work that well. nice job.. I'm guessing that its tilable - real nice job on not making it appear repetitive and making the seems blend in :)

I can imagine going close to the door to listen for troops on the other side, someone pinning a grenade, shotgun breaching door, nade flying in... absolutely amazing. You have great skills Coderedfox, great skills.

Will anyone be able to use the gate and door statics for mapping after .8 comes out? I might start mapping just for those...

cant wait. might actually add quite a new enviroment to PR you wont know visually were your enemys are in the next room. also you will have tatical breaching. break the door then move in as a squad searching the house till its cleared.

Considering this is WIP are you going to remove the open gap that leads into the courtyard? Would be reeeaaaally pointless putting in all those hours to make the epic looking chain locked gate designed to be breached through with a shotgun if you're just gonna have a hole in the wall 5M away lol

I'd think that you can go inside there so there is actually a way for the insurgents to reach whatever is locked behind the gate. Maybe there are more walls so this can only be accessed from some place thats too dangerous for the US or something.

I can see this now..........

A full infidel squad at the door trying to get get in,they use the shotgun to breach it.One goes in checks it out, tells the others: CLEAR
They all come in, all six of them, I quickly glance at my finger on top of the button...............then press it........Allah u Akbar ...SIX tickets after......the story goes on

I would assume you'd be able to "breach" the entire building, with
enough power.These "statics" are destructible aren't they?

I matched it as close as possible to the actual color of typical Afganistan mud walls. It's tileable and special care made to minimize pattern repetition. If it's too bright or too dark in game I can fix that if need be. I too would like authentic mud walls so I figured wth...here's a sample size of it:

How would you breach the doors, just shooting the lock with your primary weapon ex M-16 or just blow off with a shotgun in the combat engineer kit?

Cuz to be fair if some Terrorists are hidden inside shooting people from the windows a wooden door really shouldnt stop a Squad from killing them.

Ok imagine this if it was only shotguns that could penetrate the doors:

A squad of hostiles is in a building. They are chucking grenades and shooting the heck out of everyone around. A US Squad move into position by the only door into the place.
But wait...they've forgotten their shotgun so they cant get in and will eventually be taken out from a grenade....now in real life would a lil door stop them from breaching the building? lol. No.

If they have some kind of explosives other than grenades they can breach it probably, as far as i understood that. On the other hand, they could just toss a nade or two into those windows.

For the gates it will be shotguns and a few other large explosives for NOW. No need to argue or bitch :-P we understand allot of other round could open it. This is for gameplay reasons only.

shotguns, C4, and SLAMS should be able to blow it only for gameplay reasons. It's kinda like having medics in the squad. A good squad should have a medic, and now an engineer for door breaching :D

I'm just wondering all the time, how do the insurgents actually get behind that door? Can they somehow open or close it? Personaly, i'd give the civilian a "key" object that can destroy a door, and make their wrench able to "repair" it within a second. Would be like opening and closing it... But using the same mechanics as breaching it. Or do you have a different plan already?
