After more than a year since our the release of v1.4, it's finally time for the 38th major release of PR:BF2 - v1.5!

A new release is around the corner and it's a big one as v1.5 will finally see the release of the Polish Forces (https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f380-project-reality-news/146918-project-reality-bf2-v1-5-announced.html)! These bring new weapons, vehicles and maps that have been in development for years. Next to that we also introduce some new vehicles and weapons for other factions as well as countless other improvements, fixes and new features. Read all the details below!

We plan to release PR:BF2 v1.5 this weekend, but unforeseen complications could delay it further. Stay tuned to our social media channels and the forums for more information, media, and of course the release. The wait is almost over!

GENERAL:
Added Polish Forces.
Added new Map Gallery (https://www.realitymod.com/mapgallery/).
Updated player manual (https://realitymod.gitbooks.io/pr-manual/content/).
Updated ticket system to stop bleed when defending team starts recapturing a bleed flag.
Updated exponential ticket bleed rate. Recapturing a bleed flag will also reset exponential bleed.
Updated supply crates to have much more supply points. (box/small/large: 450/500/1000->450/1500/3000)
Updated requesting kits from crates to cost 200 supply points.
Updated ammo boxes and supply crates to resupply twice as fast. (4%/s -> 8%/s)
Updated settings to now force EAX if it is available.
Updated the Dutch Forces Command Tent Paper prop to not cause Z-Fighting.
Fixed BattleRecorder not working.
Fixed a client crash caused by packet loss when entering some vehicles.
Fixed a rare mid-round server crash.
Fixed pilots not being able to capture flags in Vehicle Warfare.

Updated going backwards in time in viewer to be more optimized.
Changes are backwards compatible with all demos from 1.4.12+

Lowered grass height.

Dovre

Complete overhaul of asset layouts. evened out ticket amounts.



Gaza

INS16: Increased cache amount from 2 to 3. Exchanged M113's for Namer and tranport truck.



Hades Peak

Complete overhaul of Asset layouts. Added new 16 layers with Militia.



Kashan Desert

Complete overhaul of Asset layouts



Khamisiyah

AAS32: Fixed ticket bleed being too early.
Added static AA to mainbases.
CNC: Fixed jets not being able to fly outside of DOD.
VW: Updated ticket bleed, holding 3/4 flags not bleeds other team.



Kozelsk

AAS/INS: Updated DOD to allow for more playable areas.



Operation Marlin

AAS32: Made 2 MTLB's and VAB's not respawn. Added 2 spawn deplayed BMP-2 and VBCI's.



Route E-106

New AAS64 layer.
Small changes to terrain and heavily reduced amount of bushes. Adjus
Adjusted sky settings and regenerated lightmaps in higher quality.



Saaremaa

AAS/CNC: Added 2 additional logistic trucks for both teams.



Sbeneh Outskirts

INS32: Removed one T-72 from MEC.
AAS64: Removed one T-64 from Syrian Rebels.



Shijia Valley

Complete overhaul of all layers on AAS and CNC. Added new 32 layers.



Silent Eagle

Added DOD to map edges where there are no trees.
AAS32/64: Delayed all tanks. Tweaked flag routes.
CNC32/AAS32: Removed paradrop. Tweaked skybox settings.
CNC64/AAS64: Moved paradrop north. Adjusted APC spawn times and added spawn delays.



Tad Sae

New skybox. Changed daytime to be foggy. AAS16 is now nightlayer
Updated AAS and Skirmish layers.



Xiangshan

AAS: Complete overhaul of all layouts. Added 16 layer.
Added CNC and VW layers.
Updated Skirmish 16 and added skirmish 32.

I noticed in the Map Gallery, some assets have different delay times than respawn times. Is this a typo or will this be a new thing? I thought it wasn't possible. Really looking forward to seeing how it plays.

Not for this update I think.
Due to it being networked, there's the side-effect of the projectile culling roughly 150m away from the distance. That's the only issue preventing us from implementing it - still WIP but hopefully may be ready in a future patch.

Grenadier nades are networked and the difference is huge.

But what about when 2 LAVs go in smoke on Abondon house on Sarremaa?
Just by saying the name of this map is enough, Kokan(This is the most broken part).
Etc. etc. im to lazy.
The point is.
Thermals are not realistic(They are better then 2nd gen thermals), then if you cannot make something close to it, why add it when its broken?No logic here.
And find me a video of crewman smoking thier apc in afghanistan,iraq etc.
Squad did a way better job balancing this, thats one part why that game is more fun.

Tigr is a Jeep, not an APC. Its comparable to the humvee.

I think you can't add Kord on Gaz-Tigr-M, cause this pkp is infact hidden inside vehicle and when solider open hatch he just put out PKP and fire. So it's not realistic beacause Kord is too much big for something like that. But it is possible to make crowed version of it with kord (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/60/Alabino22042016-06.jpg), so its fully balanced with US humve crowed. And about this one in game with just PKP, that version is in use of FSB, when is military version with PKP and AGS-17 with just a bit diffrent hatch.

No double standards here. PR tries to stick to reality. In numerous photos and videos of Russian army there are only Tigr-Ms with PKP gunners and that's it. There are also a few grenade launcher photos, but we don't have a Russian grenade launcher 3d model yet, if you can make one, please do so, it will be added. The same about adding Arbalet DM remote firing module with thermals and optics and stuff - please make one and give to PR, it will be added(given it is of good quality of course).

after distinct answers from the developer for the development of the tiger platform and entering at least 40mm ags, not so sad.Considering the fact that 40mm is everywhere paired with pkp)

about double standards - russia is the only big country where APC does not have thermal imagers, the only one! I think you will agree that this is not a matter of models. (moreover, even in one of the patches, the thermal imager bmp was removed - I may be mistaken)
and this is at least strange in view of other analogs

Russian APC's have no thermals because they have no thermals.

Right now there are 2 Gaz Tigr-M versions, an un-armed verion and the one with pkp. Unfortunately we do not have the grenade launcher yet. The remote controlled weapon station variant and possibly even the ATGM variant of this vehicle would make a good asset for PR as well. I am not sure about how much those vehicles are being used in the Russian military though. However, the biggest problem is that we don't have the 3D models for a CROWS or ATGM version.

Also, please stop accusing the PR team of being NATO-biased or anti-Russian. If you think PR lacks proper Russian equipment then you should learn how to 3D model and you should learn more about Russian military equipment. I became a developer because I wanted to fix the Dutch faction. So I made the new rifles and the DAF truck. What is your excuse to not do the same thing I did? Is it that you rather sit behind a pc and complain while contributing nothing? Really, go model that remote controlled weapon station for the Tigr, it is a nice task for a starting modeler. Or maybe you could also model another scope for the Russian faction, just like I did, the 1p63 obzor for example.

That is adding more fuel to the fire.

Everything should be balanced and fun.

Also, lets not to mention Russian and Millita HATs(Sh*t), LATs(rpg26 hard to use due to range config) and rifles(Too big recoil,low rate of fire vs Bluefores : Too big recoil, high rate of fire).

The Russian HAT kit is at least passible imo. On most maps that feature the Russians it's better to have two shots than the ability to guide it. Of course on open maps it is a no-brainer that ERYX/SRAW EZ mode reigns supreme. But even with that being the case, it doesn't stop TOWs, Tanks and IFVs from doing their job.

I didn't forget, it just wasn't relevant since you were complaining about recoil.
Statistically the AK74M has one of the lowest recoil for non-deployed weapons, whatever your feelings might be.

We just played a great fucking match on GDW, Operation Thunder.
Map is perfect, u have hills, mountains, forests, open areas, buildings. Just perfect.
Polish Forces had a little advantage with their fancy assets, but our team was better.
Their CAS was retarded, and i think that won the game.
Guns are perfect, vehicles are perfect, everything is perfect.
Their Tank, PT91, was killed like 5 minutes after it spawned. (With lats, and atgm)
Only BUG (if you can call it like that, or mistake) is on the std layout, flag says: "Nort Road", not "North Road".

Spandrel cant kill that tank with 1 atgm, and it can be killed easily (its a fucking brdm lol).
And u cant compare 2 cas helicopters with a TANK. Tank can easliy kill thoose cas choppers, and they cant kill him easliy, if they dont have a good laze. Alt layout is better, and more balanced

This makes PR pretty much unplayable for me.

I have a Creative X-Fi card, and EAX makes all environments sound like a bathroom, no matter if I'm inside a building or walking through a forest.

Editing the configuration file doesn't work as the launcher overwrites it afterwards. Switching the audio provider to software might do the trick, but in that case I would lose my sound card's HRTF surround sound capabilities.

Indeed.

Faster firerate reduces recoil, this is a well known "feature" that led to unintentional imbalance that they can't solve without reducing rate of fire of all infantry rifle to 600rpm.
