Default What I call a "fake" crash

Hello. I have recently received Arma2: Combined Operations in the mail, installed it, patched it, and when I play I get a good 10-15 mins in, if I'm lucky, 20, before the game minimizes, and I try to click on the icon again, it works, BUT for some dumb reason, I don't see anything, just my desktop, I can still hear/shoot/move, but I can't see the game

CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 B40 Processor 3.00GHZ
RAM:4 Gigs DDR3
Windows 7 64-bit
Nvidia Geforce 250gts

Only way to explain it is that I accidentally alt tab and I try to get in, and I still see my desktop, but can still move and whatnot(no that's not what I do, just giving that as an example)

Well, I don't play COD, that series is done. Same thing every year, anyways, I am all over the place in settings, I switch it every time, I have a 23 inch widescreen moniter, native res 1680x1050, didn't really make a difference, I got 20-30 fps, rarely would I go above 40... Unless im in a desert area(even a small freaking house would make me lag to hell)

If you can still hear the game try this, shift and - (on the numpad) and type the word "flush".
This should fix your problem, I have had similar problems.

Thanks I'll try. I think I got it to work, I downloaded Gamebooster(NOT THE 3 BETA) and it seems to work, NOW I have another problem, multiplayer locks the frames at 28, and it doesn't go up for down. Vsync is disabled on both the card and the game so im not sure wtf is going on

While at the black screen or desktop do this. It basicly flush your memory

Shift + Minus on Numpad then type flush and hit enter

When you hit those keys theres not gonna be a windows box or anything popping up the only thing you will see is the black screen.

EDIT Just saw that this has already been suggested. My bad.

Some one last night said that selecting that window in the task bar and then pressing "ALT + Enter" with a few seconds delay will bring the game back up if it just wont come back to fullscreen.

note: it actually jus toggles it between windowed mode and fullscreen but might reset some 3D renderers I guess
